It was my 34th birthday and I had installed an app called Reflectly. A digital memo to write down a daily reflection. First notification asked exactly that: “When was the last time you did something scary?” and that couldn't resonate better with what I was feeling. I love serendipity moments like this when the digital world reveals what goes in your mind as a telepathic synapse.
For months I was on and off, defining and polishing, going back and forward on something that has been taking too long for no good reason. The stinky fish that had been blocking me was nothing less Human than: fear. But being fear only a product of my insanity, therefore I can kill it.
If on one side this experience intends to be liberating, purgative, it also exposes vulnerabilities. By doing so it becomes more humanising, placing us in a common ground. Perfect in all the imperfections. Wabi-sabi.
This Is Catharsis is a work in progress. A digital collage of experiments in Love + Madness + Humanity, to become more Human.
